Let’s say you parked a car on a busy road thinking no one will be able to do anything especially where so many people are around or maybe you were in a hurry and you left the car with your driver inside and forgot that you have left your bag on the back seat. Well that can be the last day you’ll see your bag.
Although this type of theft is not new, but from past 4 years, there has been an interesting way to conduct it. Behold the THAK THAK GANG which means Knock Knock. If you say that to a kindergartener, he’ll probably crack a joke out of it but not for Mr. Sarv Prakash Kapoor a businessman from Agra who was on a Delhi visit. He, just like any other pilgrim, stopped his car and left his driver and his bag, in which there were approx. 7 lacs in cash, a laptop, an iPad and his wallet. Just like any other day he was unaware what will be unveiling in just half an hour.

Now with time these things are happening on running roads as well and these people don’t even hesitate to do it in front of people as you can see in the last part of the video.
From January to Sep 15, the gangs have committed several big robberies, including an over Rs.40 lakh heist from a cash van in Karol Bagh, robbing a Chandni Chowk businessman of Rs. 60 lakh cash and stealing jewelry worth Rs.50 lakh from a Safdarjung businessman in Uttar Pradesh’s Muradnagar.
Although it looks quite clear that they are doing it under the local police noses & probably with their help they are succeeding.
My advice, place your bags in the car trunk before exiting the car ,properly check the car lock system and most importantly keep your eyes open.
